Who we share data with
We only share what is needed, with companies that work for us:
- Shopify runs our website, checkout, payments and order emails.
- Our print and fulfilment partner receives your name, delivery address and phone number so they can make and ship your beanie.
- Delivery carriers receive your name and address to deliver the parcel.
- Payment providers process your payment and help prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Data outside the EU
Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the European Economic Area, such as the United States. When that happens, we rely on approved safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Order and invoice data: 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after we finished helping you.
Cookies
Our website only uses cookies that are needed to work, for example to remember your cart and keep checkout secure, and basic cookies from Shopify. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies at the moment. If we add them later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you
- correct data that is wrong
- delete your data (we may need to keep order records for tax reasons)
- limit how we use your data
- give you your data in a portable format
- stop using your data when we rely on legitimate interest
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in an email
Email us at Contact@LoudBeanie.com. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or to the authority in your own country.
Customers in the United Kingdom and the United States
The rights above also apply to UK customers under UK data protection law. We do not sell personal information, including for California residents.
Children
Our website is not meant for children under 16 to use on their own. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.
Security
Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the companies we work with protect your data with security measures of their own. No system is completely safe, so tell us right away if you think your data has been misused.
Changes
We can update this policy. We show the date of the latest version at the top.
